We are pleased to announce the following updates to Mobile Foundation as part of Cloud Pak for Apps v4.1.
Software support
- Mobile Foundation is now supported on Red Hat® OpenShift® Container Platform (OCP) version 4.3.
Features and enhancements

Installation using CP4Apps installer
Mobile Foundation is available as part of the Entitled Registry and can now be installed using the CP4Apps Installer. -
Tekton CI/CD pipelines support
Mobile Foundation in Cloud Pak for Apps is bundled with Tekton pipelines for automating common DevOps tasks related to Mobile Foundation. -
Live Update service
Live Update is now available as a separate service along with the other Mobile services such as Mobile Core, Analytics, Push, and App Center, which are available as containers. -
Analytics performance optimization
The Analytics service is now optimized to provide better performance. -
Support for React Native in Digital App Builder
React Native is a popular framework for building cross-platform mobile applications. Using Digital App Builder developers can now build React Native apps.
Inclusive terminology note: The Mobile First Platform team is making changes to support the IBM® initiative to replace racially biased and other discriminatory language in our code and content with more inclusive language. While IBM values the use of inclusive language, terms that are outside of IBM's direct influence are sometimes required for the sake of maintaining user understanding. As other industry leaders join IBM in embracing the use of inclusive language, IBM will continue to update the documentation to reflect those changes.
